Podcast Events in 2023 | An At-a-Glance Guide

There are a bunch of great podcasting events in 2023. Here, you’ll find something to suit every podcaster, every topic, and every budget.

Podcast events are a great way to learn about podcasting technology and content creation ideas. It’s a networking opportunity for independent podcasters, whether at in-person events or virtual events. As the podcast industry grows, larger corporations are taking notice. This means that podcast events can range from a day of webinars to a multi-day conference taking over huge convention centers and hotels.

Whether you think of yourself as an introvert, an extrovert, a hobbyist doing it for love, or an entrepreneur building a brand, there’s always something you can learn as long as you keep an open mind. On top of that, nothing beats getting together in person with folks who share your passion and enthusiasm for the podcasting medium.

IndyPod Summit 2023

The IndyPod Summit seeks to provide the best information for podcasters looking to grow and develop their podcasting skills,  in a live environment, with a key focus on Independent Podcasters from around the world.

Our goal is to answer “what’s next in the podcasting industry?” and our trajectory to reach this answer involves our amazing and growing community. Through our research project IndyPod Census and collaborations with organisations in the podcasting space, we’ll bring you the latest news, advice, and predictions for independent podcasting in 2023. PodCamp is a BarCamp-style UnConference dedicated to digital and social media, including podcasting, blogging, Search Engine Optimization and all facets of “new media.” As digital marketing and content creation have taken off, lots of conferences have come into being, but few are as community-centric as PodCamp. Our speakers are unpaid volunteers who mix with other attendees to exchange ideas for the benefit of everyone. You’ll always find someone at PodCamp who can help you with a new approach to solving a problem or a new idea to help you take your project to the next level. But that’s not all: you, as attendees, are expected to be active participants, not just passive observers. So if you have a question, ask it, or if you can help

Radiodays Europe was born in 2010 in response to the needs of the European industry, public and private, to come together to discuss the new media challenges, across borders. Since then, it’s grown to become the most important annual conference for radio professionals with over 1300 participants from 62 countries online and in-person. It is the meeting point for the European radio, podcast & audio industries. It attracts both private and public radio stations, podcasters from across the spectrum big and small, plus audio professionals from a variety of industries.

The programming committee brings together podcast enthusiasts and professionals from the radio creation sector, journalism, and the cultural sector. For this new edition of the Brussels Podcast Festival, the organizing team will propose a competition to reward the best native French-speaking Belgian podcasts through several categories. PodStock is a one-day conference focused on all things podcasting, with industry professionals and experts sharing their knowledge and experience. This year, New Pod City is thrilled to introduce the “PodStock Rocks” Workshop, a new addition to the conference specifically designed for high school students in Mercer County studying audio/visual courses. This workshop will provide students with the opportunity to learn from and interact with professionals in the industry, and get a taste of what it’s like to work in all facets of Audio/Visual careers including Podcasting.

This conference is the largest in-person gathering of women podcasters, audio content creators, storytellers, and more. She Podcasts LIVE offers women and non-binary audio creators a chance to learn and experience the podcasting community in an environment created just for them. We focus the education, the social interaction, and even the aesthetic on these attendees, and it makes a big difference in how She Podcasts LIVE feels from other conferences. Blk Pod Festival was birthed from a need to showcase and connect Black audio creatives. Our goal is to educate our attendees while also cultivating relationships and experiences. Together we will design and maintain infrastructures of sustainable resources and consistent support.
